Our Story

After being laid of from her factory job of 20 years, owner and founder Arlene Brockel set out to open a bakery. After taking a few culinary courses, she fell in love with chocolate. Chocolate Lab was born in 2002 with little more than a dream and some support from friends. 20 years later, we've become a landmark of Downtown Bethlehem, with loyal customers we couldn't be more grateful for.

Our Promise

We always strive for the best ingredients. Always organic. Always fair trade. Always sustainable. Sourced from Fair Trade farms Ghana, Costa Rica, and parts of South America, we are committed to staying as far away from the horrors of commercial chocolate farming as possible. The beans are then processed in Switzerland, where ingredient laws are than in the US. Our product is made with as few fillers and additives as possible, all you taste is the real deal. Then it comes to us, to be turned into all the magical confections our customers have come to know and love. Clean chocolate treated with the utmost care from start to finish, will always taste the best.
